About Our Village
Wangzhigou village's entrance is located just in front of the world heritage Shaolin Temple's main gate, ten minutes walk to village center.
A peaceful environment inside the Shaolin Temple's scenic area (Songshan Shaolin scenic area 嵩山少林风景区), where there are martial arts schools and trainees' dormitories.
You can see many young trainees practicing martial arts everywhere, on village's streets or squares, from early morning till late at night, and you can enjoy a wonderful atmosphere, feel authentic Shaolin spirits.
From sports club of your home town to the heart of Shaolin martial arts, this would surely be an unforgettable experience.
王指沟 Wangzhigou
Wangzhigou means "The valley at which the king pointed ". The legend has it that Emperor QianLong of Qing dinasty had just stepped out of Shaolin temple’s main gate, then pointed at the area in front of the gate and asked the temples's abbot where this place was.
